FAQ’s

Q. How much do I pay?

A. The FLIR E6 is £1,035 +VAT (Normal price is £2,071+VAT), The FLIR E60 is £3,146 +VAT (Normal Price is £6,292 +VAT)

Q. That’s quite a difference – why is the E60 so much more?

A. The E60 is a much more capable camera – it includes a great list of additional features such as:

  • The E60 has a 320×240 detector compared with the E6 having a 160×120 array so you get 4 times as many pixels in the thermal image
  • The E60 allows you to manually adjust the focus of your lens and can change lenses, whereas the E6 has a fixed focus-free lens
  • The E60 has a removable SD memory card, the memory of the E6 is built in – you can connect both cameras via a USB cable
  • The E60 has WiFi communication with portable devices (iOS and Android) and computers, allowing you to download images etc wirelessly.

Q. What do I get in the package?

A. You will get a camera, battery and charger, user manual on CD, FLIR Tools software is available as a FREE download, and you get a 24 month warranty on the camera. We also include 3 handbooks covering use of IR in Industrial applications, Buildings and Energy Applications and Science/R&D applications, and a DVD with some promotional video including a copy of “Light as Seen” a video introducing William Herschel and the history of infrared.

Q. Can I project the image live onto a PC Screen?

A. Yes – the E60 has both a USB stream and a composite video output, so can be used with either a PC or directly to a projector, the  E6 has a USB stream so connects to a projector via a PC or laptop.

Q.  Can I order more than one?

A. Yes. There is no limit to the number you can order as long as they are being used for teaching / educational purposes.

Q. How do I order one?

A. We need a purchase order either from your School / College / University with an order number or from your training establishment clearly stating that the camera(s) will be used for teaching purposes – this can be emailed to us at admin@crimsoniv.co.uk
