Anybody involved in teaching and training who will use the camera in their education program. This is open to Schools, Colleges, Universities, Training departments and teachers. The units cannot be purchased for commercial or industrial applications.

Q. The price of the product is £530 + VAT – is there any further discount available?
A> This camera is sold to industrial customers for £1,670 and has been given significant support for the Education market by FLIR Systems, the manufacturer. No further discount is available.
Q. Can you ship us a demo unit so we can see one?
A> Unfortunately we don’t have enough demo units to go around, however there is video material available on the web – please have a look at: http://www.flir.com/cs/emea/en/view/?id=45476 (general product introduction)
Q. Does the product come with Software?
A> Yes – every camera is supplied with FLIR Tools software – ( you can install this on multiple devices at no additional cost). This software allows you to import images from the camera and carry out analysis, change parameters such as emissivity and Reflected Apparent Temperature, change palletes (colour schemes) and create reports. The image format is a JPEG which means that any PC / tablet / MAC etc that can display a photo can display an image. Apps are also available from various app stores for Apple (iOS) and Android devices so you are not limited to the platform and your students can take the images away for further analysis on their mobile phones / ipads etc.
Q. Does the camera have a live video output?
A> The FLIR i7 does not have a live video output. Still images are captured and stored on the memory card, which can either be removed and inserted into another device or the camera can be connected to a PC via a USB cable and the images downloaded that way. (If you need a live video output, this is available from the FLIR E30 – please contact us for more information)
Q. How long does the battery last?
A> The battery is a rechargeable LiON battery and in normal use can last up to 7 hours – and the camera can also be used with the standard mains adapter / charger that is included in the package. Batteries can be replaced if required.
Q. What also comes with the package?
A> Included in the package will be 3 handbooks describing Infrared and how it is used in Industrial, Building and Energy and R&D applications and a DVD with various videos, one with a background for Infrared, describing how William Herschel discovered infrared and other videos with examples of industrial applications and applications in building and energy conservation. If you need additional copies of these handbooks / DVD’s please don’t hesitate to ask. The camera is supplied in a hard case with memory card, installed battery and battery charger, FLIR Tools Software, USB cable, printed Quick Start Guide and User manuals on CD and a warranty extension card allowing you to register the camera for an additional 12 months warranty (12 months is standard, you get an additional 12 months when you register the camera on the FLIR website).

Q. How long does it take to get my camera?
A>. You should receive your camera within 10 working days of sending us your order. If you need to manage delivery to avoid inset days, half term or the holiday period, then please let us know.
